font-family: times new roman,times;\">The Macedonian Struggle (1904 &#8211; 1908) was undisputably a turning point in the history of the region of Macedonia. However, historical accounts of the events have not given the necessary attention in defining the contribution of the local fighters. This meant that for many years the protagonists\u2019 memories and narratives focused on other concerns and thus the issue of assessing the impact the local fighters had on the Struggle is missing from the historiography.
